Abstract
One of the ways to evaluate historical propositions is to compare them with the data of other sciences. With this balance, historical reports can be evaluated and verified better and more. In this research, with the help of the data of astronomy, the solar eclipse that occurred at the time of the death of Abraham, the son of the prophet, was attempted to be checked for the truth of this event and even the time of its completion. Regarding the year, month and day of that event, although there are various reports and inconsistencies, the most well-known reports indicate that Ibrahim died sixteen or eighteen months after he was born. where he was born in Dhu al-Hijjah of the eighth year, so the solar eclipse must have taken place in the second Rabi'a or Jumadi al-Thani of the tenth year, but the results of this research challenge these official and accepted reports and make them incorrect.
