Guide for Authors
  1. Articles with scientific merit in all areas of Shia history are accepted for review and publication.
  2. The editorial board reserves the right to accept, reject, or edit submitted articles.
  3. Responsibility for the content of published articles lies with the author(s).
  4. Only original research articles that have not been published elsewhere will be reviewed and published.
  5. Articles submitted to this journal should not be simultaneously submitted to other journals.
  6. For articles with multiple authors, all correspondence and responsibilities will rest with the corresponding author or the person submitting the article.
  7. The journal retains the right to reject, accept, or perform content editing of submitted articles.
  8. All scientific and legal responsibilities for the article lie with the author(s).
  9. Articles in each issue are arranged in chronological order.

Structure of Submitted Articles:

  • Title
  • Abstract in Persian and English
  • Keywords
  • Introduction (including problem statement, literature review, main questions or hypotheses, methodology, objectives, and the necessity of the research)
  • Body (various sections of the article)
  • Conclusion
  • References

Additional Instructions:

  • The Persian abstract should be a single paragraph with a maximum of 150 words, and the English abstract should be a translation of the Persian one.

  • The article title should be concise, clear, and reflective of the article’s content.

  • Articles should not exceed 6,000 words.

  • Articles should be written in Word 2010 or later versions, using the IRLotus font, following formatting and typing rules.

  • Use a non-breaking space (Ctrl + "-") for compound words and suffixes:
    Write: دیوان‌ها
    Do not write: دیوان ها or دیوانها

  • Use a non-breaking space for suffixes indicating indefinite or relation, especially after words ending in "ه":
    Write: برنامه‌اى جامع
    Do not write: برنامه اى جامع

  • Compound adjectives and adverbs should be written with a non-breaking space:
    Example: توسعه‌طلبى، دل‌نگرانى، سازماندهى‌شده

  • Descriptive and superlative adjectives should also use non-breaking spaces:
    Example: بزرگ‌تر، بزرگ‌ترین

  • Prefixes like مى should be attached with a non-breaking space:
    Example: مى‌نویسد، مى‌نوشت

  • Compound conjunctions should use a non-breaking space:
    Example: چنان‌که، درصورتى‌که، آن‌که

  • Words ending in silent "ه" should not use additional characters when combined:
    Example: درباره موضوع

  • Avoid excessive diacritical marks in Persian:
    Write: جستار
    Do not write: جُستار

  • Punctuation marks (e.g., , ; :) should always follow the closing quotation or parentheses, not precede them:
    Example: این سخن سعدى که «مستعجل به سر درآید»، هشدارى است.

  • Special names should include diacritics for clarity:
    Example: ابوذَرِ غِفاری، ابوحاتِم سِجِسْتانی، دینَوَر

  • Quranic verses, narrations, and Arabic phrases must include diacritical marks and translations.

  • In-text citations should follow this format:
    (Author's Last Name, Volume/Page). For multiple works by the same author, include the title:
    (William, 28-1) or (مسعودی، مروج الذهب، 2/57؛ همو، التنبیه، 98)

  • Footnotes should include explanations, transliterations, and term clarifications.

  • The reference list should be alphabetical, formatted as follows:

    • Books: Last Name (Most Common Form), First Name, Book Title, Translator/Editor, Publication Place, Publisher, Year.
    • Articles: Last Name, First Name, "Article Title," Journal Name, Volume (Issue), Year and Month of Publication.
