The transfer of the idea of the Islamic Revolution to Turkey and the multiple encounters with this phenomenon had a direct impact on Shiite studies in this country. This research has seen different approaches due to the difference in the religious-linguistic context of both countries and the presence of various intellectual currents. This article seeks to answer the question, what approach have the researches of Ahl al-Bayt history taken in contemporary Turkey?
This research, by examining the books and articles written in the period (1990-2020) while analyzing these texts, categorizes them based on the method of description and analysis of study data based on the theory of "the relationship between cultural diversity and religious action".
The findings show that the studies of Shiite history in this country have different approaches both in the field of traditional written language in this country (Turkish and Kurdish) and in the field of religious stylistics. In the field of language, researches on the history of Ahl al-Bayt in Turkey are divided into two languages: Istanbul Turkish (the language of the Hanafians, a part of the Alawites and a part of the Imamia) and Kurdish (Shafi'i, a part of the Alawites and a part of the Imamia).
In the field of methodology, approaches: "Desanctification and Historicization of Ahlul Bayt", "Historical Description of Shia", "Criticism of Shia Beliefs", "Reformation of Shia Beliefs", "Historical Rejection of Imamiyya Beliefs", "Approximation of religions" are seen in Shiite studies in this country.
